What does matt bellamy think of twilight
The soundtrack for the third instalment of the vampire movie franchise, released on 8 June, will also feature tracks from Vampire Weekend, Florence and the Machine and The Dead Weather. Speaking about their contribution Bellamy explained that he wanted fans to hear the track now whilst its subject matter still felt "relevant". He said: "I broke up with my girlfriend - it must have been about 8 months ago or something.
I basically wrote that song pretty much immediately after that. It's the kind of song that by the time we get to the next album might not be relevant any more. My life might have changed and moved on.
It's kind of like a cheesy love sentiment I suppose. The trio, who released their fifth album The Resistance in , are set to play a string of huge stadium, gigs this summer including dates at London's Wembley Stadium and Lancashire County Cricket ground. Bellamy said the shows will feature a brand new set including a "very futuristic pyramid-shaped office building". He added: "From the front the whole thing looks like this gigantic…you know the all seeing eye with a big eye-ball on top?
It basically looks like that. Show yourselves and play everywhere you can. Early in my career I was playing in the street for a couple of pounds as a busker, but I was still playing my music. You have to love what you do. Matt was born to be a musician. His father George was rhythm guitarist in the s pop group The Tornados. They were the first British band to have a No.
With that kind of pedigree, Matt never had a Plan B. He started playing piano at age six and the guitar when he was To relax, Matt, who lives in Lake Como, Italy, goes horse-riding and diving. He split up with his Italian girlfriend last year and has been linked to Lily Allen. He says: "I don't really like these kind of shows. No real artists are made from them, just karaoke singers.
Well good Mr Bellamy, Like what you like. Huge over-generalizing there. And I fail to see how Oasis never "made it big" in America. Their second album sold 4 million copies. If that's not making it, then certainly Muse haven't even come close to making it since they don't even have a platinum album. Jesus Christ.
After this interview I must say that I'm confuse Matt really likes twilight? It's strange, because I have read somewhere that he rather doesn't prefer this film I don't think so And I wonder if he still lives in Como because he bought a farm in England.
IMO in this interview are some rumors. Tbh I'm not totally surprised he likes it but that doesn't worry me. What does worry me is the thought of a song espicially for the Breaking Dawn film rather then as a vehicle for a song that had been written as Eclipse for NSC. No no- I meant the paper not you! I always thought Matt and Dom could be doubles actually. I get them mixed up all the time! It doesn't bother me what he likes either incidentally. It's up to him. Just surpises me that he would be a fan of badly done teenybop stuff.
I only saw the first film though. They're both skinny as hell and about the same height but other than that they don't look anything like each other!
I want to laugh when I read it :D:D. To be honest I don't believe in articles from tabloids. I like to watch or listen interviews. When I can hear Matt then I believe. Me english are bad; but does that mean that the game thing it's real or it's just the songs for the diferent GH games? I don't think they look anything like each other!
Makes me wonder whether this article has been made up by someone who knows next to nothing about Muse. Who doesn't even really know what they look like. This seems like a load of crap.
No offense to the person who started the thread btw. Yeah that's a good thing! Assuming this article is legit. Since their inception, the band has comprised Matthew Bellamy vocals, guitar, piano , Christopher Wolstenholme bass, backing vocals , and Dominic Howard drums.
Muse are known for their energetic and extravagant live performances and their fusion of many music genres, including progressive rock, classical music and electronica. The majority of these awards have been attributed to their live performances. Muse have been involved with Teenage Cancer Trust and have performed at the Royal Albert Hall where they donated all money made from the merchandise stands to the charity.
On 25 September all three members of the band were awarded Honorary Doctorates of the Arts by Plymouth University. Please Note: Links to the information on the albums are at the Bottom of this article. The members of Muse played in separate bands during their stay at Teignmouth Community College in the early s, but soon the formation of Muse began when Bellamy successfully auditioned for the part of guitarist in Dominic Howard's band. They asked Chris Wolstenholme, who played drums at the time, to learn to play bass guitar for the band.
Wolstenholme agreed and took up lessons. The band won the contest, smashing their equipment in the process. A massive shock. After that, we started taking ourselves seriously. After a few years building a fan base, Muse played their first gigs in London and Manchester. The band had a significant meeting with Dennis Smith, the owner of Sawmills Studio, situated in a converted water mill in Cornwall.
He had seen the three boys grow up as he knew their parents and had a production company together with their manager to-be Safta Jaffery. This meeting led to their first proper recordings and the release of an eponymous EP on Sawmills' in-house Dangerous label, with a front cover designed by Howard. Dennis Smith introduced the band to Safta Jaffery with whom he had recently started the record label Taste Media.
Despite the success of their second EP, British record companies were reluctant to sign Muse. Nanci Walker, then Sr. It was during this trip, on 24 December , that Muse signed a deal with Maverick Records.
Upon their return from America, Taste Media arranged deals for Muse with various record labels in Europe and Australia, allowing them to maintain control over their career in individual countries. John Leckie was brought in to produce the band's first record, Showbiz. The album showcased the band's soft style, and the lyrics made reference to the difficulties they had encountered while trying to establish themselves in Teignmouth.
During production of the band's second album, Origin of Symmetry, the band experimented with instrumentation such as a church organ, Mellotron, and an expanded drum kit. There were more of Bellamy's high-pitched vocal lines, arpeggiated guitar, and piano playing. Bellamy cites guitar influences such as Jimi Hendrix and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave , the latter evident in the more riff-based songs in Origin of Symmetry and in Bellamy's extensive use of pitch-shifting effects in his solos.
Celine Dion was also threatened with legal action in when she planned to name her Las Vegas show "Muse," despite the band owning the worldwide performing rights to the name. Origin of Symmetry was well-received by critics; Dean Carlson of Allmusic commented that " But Muse have carried it off.
Maverick had reservations about Bellamy's vocal style on this album considering it not to be "radio-friendly"[citation needed] , and asked Muse to change some of their songs prior to U. The band refused and left Maverick, resulting in Maverick's decision not to release "Origin of Symmetry" in the U.
The album was finally released in the U. Muse released a live DVD, "Hullabaloo," featuring live footage recorded during Muse's two gigs on consecutive nights at Le Zenith in Paris in and a documentary film of the band on tour.
A double album, "Hullabaloo Soundtrack" was released at the same time, containing a compilation of B-sides and a disc of recordings of songs from the Le Zenith performances.
