I never checked if my drivers for the were up to date so that also might have solved it. But the power rule is legid for sure because after i swapped the cards out and used a different power source for the pc the flicker returns but running it from the same source produces perfect results. Just to add to the sensitivity of the power I plugged in an audio jack to send sound to the sound desk and boom flicker came back.
