Who is dog in wolverine origins

Upon touching one of the Time Diamonds, Dog found himself in a large modern day city. Dog also learned that sometimes, the Time Diamond would take him to what he needed rather than wanted, such as when the Time Diamond sent him to an alien futuristic bar.

Dog then asked his future self if he would ever make it back home, having already been to the future, but Dog turned only to find an empty room. As Dog continued eating, he mused to himself that the Savage Land did sound like the perfect place.

Later, after Wolverine had brought several of his more troublesome Jean Grey School students to the Savage Land for a survival lesson, Dog attacked Wolverine using a futuristic gun, revealing to Wolverine that he was still alive. He then monologued about how the Logan boys had come a long way from the woods around the Howlett home, prompting Wolverine to renew the fight.

As the fight progressed, Dog revealed that he had come through time to teach Wolverine a lesson, one that might save the kids of the Jean Grey School. Explaining that he had seen all sorts of different timelines in which the Jean Grey School fails to protect their students, Dog announced that he would teach Wolverine and the Jean Grey School students to survive: a lesson that he felt Wolverine had never learned from Thomas Logan.

Dog announced himself as a better man than Wolverine in every way and proclaimed himself the teacher that the Jean Grey School students needed. Recruiting several, Dog rescued Shark-Girl from the Iron Mask and his gang and revealed to her that their class was about to start.

While Wolverine escaped his entrapment, Dog gave the Jean Grey School students futuristic guns and led them into battle against the time-displaced cavemen, Old West gang members and Human Resource droids. Attempting to train the students to survive against nearly overwhelming odds, Dog began thinking that he had finally proven himself better than his brother James until one of the Mud Eater cavemen knocked Dog out with a kick to the head.

Regaining consciousness moments later, Dog was annoyingly questioned by Kid Omega about a way out of their captivity at the hands of Iron Mask and his group of time-displaced allies. After taking down all of the time-displaced villains, Dog looked over the Jean Grey School students and determined they were all a bunch of spoiled brats. Announcing himself as the greatest Logan that would ever exist, Dog threatened the students but they all stood their ground except for Glob Herman, who ran off into the wilderness.

Refusing to yield to Dog, the students faced Dog down until Oya and Wolverine emerged from the woods. Wolverine ordered Dog to step away from the students and when Dog attacked Wolverine, Wolverine refused to fight back, allowing Dog to violently vent his years of pent-up frustration physically.

When Kid Omega saved Dog by telekinetically grabbing the bullet in mid-air, Dog realized he had made a mistake attacking children. Wolverine removed his mask, agreeing that maybe it was time that he and Dog talked some things out but Dog told Wolverine that their old man was right. Dog then used his Time Diamond to return all of the time-displaced villains to their proper time periods, disappearing into the timestream himself in the process.

Returning to his shack in the Canadian Rockies, Dog was beaten by his own future counterpart, all the while repeating that he was the greatest Logan who had ever lived. Age of Ultron 10 - Dog Logan's continued time traveling contributed to the overall breakdown of the timestream. Wolverine, Storm, Iceman and Beast later visited the shack, where Beast detected time distortion residue but no sign of anyone for miles.

Beast explained to Wolverine that no one had been in the shack for days. Shortly thereafter, Kade Kilgore confronted Dog in the woods, where Dog was fiercely fighting against his future counterpart.

Knocking his future self out, Dog demanded to know how Kade had found him and how Kade knew who Dog was. Kade proceeded to make Dog an offer. As a longtime member of the X-Men and the Avengers, Wolverine is one of the most popular superheroes in the Marvel Universe. Fully debuting in Len Wein and Herb Trimpe's Incredible Hulk , very little was known about Wolverine's origin until 's six issue Origin mini series, which finally gave the details of the mutant hero's childhood and family.

Penned by the team of Bill Jemas, Paul Jenkins and Joe Quesada and featuring art by Andy Kubert and Richard Isanove, Origin provided an in-depth look into the early life of Wolverine, offering insight into his real name, his parentage and the origin of the name Logan, the name he has used for the majority of his heroic career. Through this series, some of the mystery surrounding the character was removed, allowing fans a look at who he was prior to being inducted into the Weapon X Program that forever changed his life.

Now, we're going to take a closer look the members of Wolverine's family that comic introduced and how they're connected to Wolverine. In the late s, John Howlett, Sr. John was a kind and caring man, a stark contrast to his overbearing father who insisted on treating others as inferior. John's acts of gentleness toward the less fortunate were a bane to his father, and the two often clashed as a result of their differing personalities.

Although John believed that James was his son, it came to light that his wife had been unfaithful and had an affair with groundskeeper, Thomas Logan. John was tragically killed in a confrontation with Thomas Logan, still unaware that he was not James' biological father.

Elizabeth Howlett was the mother of Wolverine, and she was sent to an asylum after being attacked by her first son, John Jr. He revealed that he knew where the train they took was destined all those years ago.

Dog set out to find them, and came upon a desolate camp where he found an elderly man watching people come and go. Dog asked the old man where they might have gone, and he suggested a mining camp. Dog thanked him by snapping his neck. Dog attempted to kill James and seemed to be winning until James suddenly remembered his past and turned the tide.

James popped his claws in preparation to kill Dog, but Rose got in the way. James accidentally killed her. Dog fled the scene. Dog was been seen hunting down young Logan and his wolf pack, later appearing to be transported to modern day New York, intent on getting revenge on Logan.

In the Canadian Wilderness, Dog came back to his cabin with some dead wolverine he hunted, he cooked it and took a bite. As he was eating, Dog's wall full of newspaper clippings about Wolverine's new school he just opened up in Westchester. While in the present in his cabin, he was greeted by a future version of himself , who told him it was time for him to start hunting his brother in the Savage Lands , without giving out anything of the outcome of the battle.

Now armed with time diamonds and motivated by his future self, Dog tried to prove that he was a better Logan, a better teacher and a better mentor than Wolverine. Once in the Savage Land, he shot down Wolverine with a laser pistol while he was jumping around the trees.

But after being confronted by Quentin Quire and the rest of Wolverine's students he saw the errors of his ways and gave up. Despite being their teacher, Dog had no problem drinking alcohol during class. Later on he helped Quentin Quire escaped from the jails of the Hellfire Academy to repay him for the lesson he gave him when they met in the Savage Land and as a way to make up for beating him up.
